The water villas and water suites are conceived as «floating residences» connected by floating jetties. The villas, sheltered in a lagoon by their adjacent island, have private decks and aquatic entertainment areas with boat berths. The contemporary bionic architecture of the villas offers gracious living spaces that are connected to exterior sundecks. The villas boast submarine living areas with magnificent underwater views.
The villas are actually floating structures, just as their connecting walkways, which make water activities and aquatic entertainment possible 24-h per day. Each unit can be self-sufficient thanks to the solar rooftop which provides energy.
There exist three types of residences: Water Villas, and Water Suites A & B. The concept grouped the water villas and water suites together with an organic approach to the lagoon’s layout. A central ‘spine’ is used as the primary organization element for the site’s layout, and secondary ‘fingers’ that emerge from the spine constitute clusters of 6 or 9 units. This model allows each unit to be oriented for views, water areas and privacy, and permits the units to be placed within the lagoon in a density that allows navigation of small watercrafts.
