Located in the famous city of Limoges, well know for its know how and historical master of the ceramic, this project was our proposal for a leading plot of land situated in the main entrance West of the city.
This suburbs is rather bland, which is a pity due to the fact that the street is the main access from the airport to the heart of the city.
The Architects wanted to give a signal to enhance the identity and historical expertise of the city at the right entrance.
They proposed to settle the building so as to organize a little place like a piece of public space. Also a way to sign on in a distance with the next existing building, to detached the new building and affirm its position.
The materials were chosen in testimony to the porcelaine of Limoges : the first floor, a matriced concrete recalls the biscuit, the main part of the building, white mineral coating calls to mind the porcelain, and the zinc stand for the pewter matrix used to draw patterns on the porcelain
