2010
Led by Denise Cherry of Studio O+a, this project was to
house a relocation of technology company DreamHost who had outgrown previous
office space.  Roughly 15,000 square feet
of traditional office space was gutted, its previous tenants having long since
moved on.

The client wanted open ceilings, an open floorplan, plenty
of casual seating, and had a strong aversion to traditional cubicles and
lighting systems.  Balancing those
requirements with an eye toward future growth, the end result incorporates an abundance
of glass walls to permit natural lighting to work its way through to the core
of the office.

A variety of textures cover the floors, including carpet, polished
concrete, hardwoods, and 'carpet' made from recycled plastic bottles.  Abstract vinyl wallcoverings color corridors
throughout the space.  An oversize break
room allows for impromptu video game challenges, ping pong tournaments, and
foosball exhibitions.
