With this large renovation, B+H CHIL design was responsible for the architecture and complete redesign
of all public areas including the restaurant, conference center, lounge, ballrooms and guestrooms. Regina’s rich
history as the center of a very Prairie industry as well as its location in the middle of the Canadian Plains that
drove the conceptual design.
The balance between what Regina was and what it is becoming is demonstrated through the public areas striking juxtaposition of old and new. With a colour palette derived from the open sky and fields of wheat, carefully selected unique pieces of
furniture are chosen which embody elements of more rural and rustic sense while maintaining an overall contemporary feel. In addition, a new more modern approach is taken when these historical pieces are paired with slicker upholstery and streamlined chairs etc.
This modern twist on a rich history is carried through into the guest corridors and rooms, in which the blue and ochre colours continue with a more solid, masculine approach to the overall feel of the space.
