COOOP Design Studio's collaboration with Hilton has birthed a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel that stands as a beacon of architectural ingenuity. Set against the majestic Margalla Hills, the design ingeniously merges two contrasting forms: wavy designs inspired by the natural contours of the hills and linear forms that engage with the adjacent residential scheme. This dualistic approach creates a dynamic yet cohesive experience for visitors, unified by a clear glazed landscaped atrium that blurs interior-exterior boundaries.
The wavy design elements evoke serenity and harmony, resonating with the natural landscape. In contrast, the linear forms offer structured elegance, creating a visual dialogue and enriching the hotel's multifaceted personality. Central to the design is the Central Green Atrium, a verdant oasis that infuses the hotel with greenery and facilitates the penetration of natural light, fostering an immersive and rejuvenating experience.
Beyond its aesthetic allure, COOOP's design embodies the principle of Design for Behaviour. Every space, whether flowing with wavy designs or structured by linear forms, has been meticulously curated to evoke specific behaviours and emotions. The result is a design masterpiece that transcends boundaries, fostering connections, and setting a new benchmark for excellence in hospitality architecture.
