The mall is located in Doosan Tower in Dongdaemun district near Zaha Hadid`s Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). The historic Dongdaemun Market, popular with its cafe and retail stores, is the perfect location for this fashion oriented
shopping mall. Garde has been responsible for the transformation of the space into a pseudo-reality that brings the spectator into a different world. Garde has created an overarching rule that governs each floor to encompass the design of each individual shop. The overall design concept is the exploration of 'Another World'. Each floor aims to project the customer into a different and strange environment inspired by natural phenomena. Each floor offers distinct narrative that captures the imagination. At the basement floor, the visitors enter a blue lagoon where the concept is life 'In the Sea'. A mysterious atmosphere surrounds the customers as light emanates through the waves with a dramatic effect. The first four floors are
inspired by the image of a subterranean cave. A 'Secret
Garden' welcomes the visitors at 5F and 6F and encourages the exploration and quest for healing products. The interior at the 7F and 8F offers an airy environment that is designe
d with the concept of `In the Breeze`. From cosmetics to interiors, this innovative space design takes the customer's shopping experience to another level.
