Dock 72 is a contemporary waterfront office building that promotes innovation and collaboration while navigating the environmental issues of a complex site and engaging with the Brooklyn Navy Yard community.
Dock 72 is highly visible from Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens and has 360-degree views of the city. Built on a former drydock, it is raised above the 100-year flood plain on 20 V-shaped columns that support the weight of the 16-story structure and allow water to naturally flow beneath the building. The stacked massing and concrete-grid facade break down the scale of the building and create landscaped outdoor terraces on four levels. The building is designed to forge a sense of community among its occupants and features flexible floorplates and shared amenities, including a first-floor marketplace and lounge, second-floor fitness center and lounge, and a top-floor 10,000-sf conference facility.
