The project was selected as the winner of Denizli Government House and its near around urban design competition at 2009. The construction of the project started in 2010 completed end of the 2013. It is showed maximum sensitivity by designer about remaining faithful to the project as much as possible that is a corporate building having done with a limited budget as a result of bid.
Some essential goals of design are to;
• protect historical buildings which have current and past values of Denizli,
• create an original Government House that reflects the qualities of the region’s architectural, historical and cultural characteristics,
• design spaces in which is used for all time with offering to provide management and cultural services in the middle of Delikliçınar-Bayramyeri axisline that having developed as an important axis for around centers.
The building is designed as a whole with its landscaping. When you look at its green texture it creates a sustainable design having harmony with its topography. Additionally, in the competition, Denizli Archeological Museum was designed on a 35.000 m² area inside the urban design area boundaries to the north of Government House.
The shape of building is simple and clear. Travertine stone is used as a covering material for facade and indoor/outdoor flooring. It has a basement and four floors, two of them are ground floors and both of them lead people to public spaces. It’s an ecological building with an atrium which provides natural ventilation and outdoor daylighting. Building produces its own energy from photovoltaic panels on the steel roof for all lighting, administration and cultural service units.
