Symphonic Involvement
Our proposal for the New Daegu City Hall draws inspiration from the city's deep-rooted musical heritage. A symphonic composition serves as a powerful metaphor for what a city hall should embody: a structured yet dynamic system where multiple elements work in harmony to serve the public. Much like a symphony, the project aspires to unify diverse components—architecture, landscape, and urban context—into a cohesive and resonant whole.
This concept translates into the architecture and master plan that both contributes to and collaborates with its urban surroundings. It respects local context, integrates cultural and historical narratives, and actively involves the community—not just as users, but as participants in the city’s ongoing story.
