The restyling of the reception for Covivio office building at 10 Via Cornaggia, located in the historic centre of Milan, started with a reimagining and update which evolved its function to something similar to a hotel concierge.
Through a careful analysis of the context and its constraints, we have rethought the entrance space and the common areas on the ground floor. Redesigning the spatial functions and visual impact, in the desire to express, in harmony with the historical context, the identity and values of our client. Two main elements characterize the project, a palette composed of natural materials and neutral colours in warm tones, in dialogue with pre-existing black and white chromatic elements alongside the custom designed lighting and wooden wall panels. From the first concept, light becomes the system chosen to underline the points of interest and "lead" to discover the space, in which the wooden wall becomes the "new" element that characterizes the project by introducing soft and welcoming lines, in harmony with the chosen hospitality concept. In progression therefore, following the light, you reach a lounge area, from which the presence of a break area is revealed. Different settings and types of seating offer guests a number of alternative spaces in which to wait, work, meet, have a coffee or a lunch either alone or in company. The project is completed by meeting rooms which follow the philosophy of the scheme. An outdoor area with different seats for informal meetings, is currently under construction.
