Corniche Floret Tower

Type
STATUS
Concept
The concept of the facade is marked by keywords such as modernity, brightness, sustainability, and safety. Through those key points, the integrated facade concept supports architectural and environmental design requirements. Daylight contributes to indoor visual comfort and enhances user satisfaction, wellness, and life quality. Which is the reason why we have opted for the use of glass in the facade of the Corniche Floret project.

As an environmentally friendly solution to the high solar gain, a shading control strategy is based on horizontal louvers - to handle the cooling demand. Horizontal louvers have the potential to provide both a high quality of internal daylight and at the same time offer a distinctive character to the external appearance of the tower. The louvers are strategically positioned in order to reduce glare, thermal discomfort and consequently to reduce excessive energy consumption.

The angle of the horizontal louvers enables unobstructed views from the outside into the building on the street level, where the public program such as retail and office is positioned. At the same time, it is blocking the outside-inside views of the higher levels, as those levels contain the more private residential program. Unobstructed views from inside to outside are guaranteed from every floor.

A bright and spacious lobby with clear and modern shapes is planned. A wall full of wooden louvers match the outer louvers of the facade and finalize the image - in order to create a synchronic look. The choice of light colors rounds off the overall bright concept. The particular lightning in the center of the lobby underlines the recognizable and striking image of the Lobby.

The see-through facade in the Lobby makes sure that a maximum of sunlight is able to enter. The atmosphere of the reception radiates a friendly feeling. Spatial edges are rounded up - which creates a natural sensation of well-being. Thanks to the wide and open room, the guests are motivated to enter into a conversation.
