Corals at Keppel Bay's uniquely distinct style of luxury waterfront living mirrors organic corals with undulating balconies and canopies.
Corals at Keppel Bay is a luxurious residential development located along the southern coastline of Singapore. 11 residential blocks are arranged as meandering coastal reefs, increasing site permeability and maximizing views throughout the site.
Nature is extended inwards, to the lush central garden at the heart of the development.
The façade design provides each unit with views to the sea, allowing individuality in each customised residential block while maintaining a seamless aesthetic for the entire development.
Conversely, the residential blocks cascade towards the waterfront, diminishing in height from ten to six storeys to meet the water edge.
Taking care to protect sensitive marine ecologies, DCA negotiated the development and construction process around the historical sea wall. This was particularly challenging as the rare waterfront site had more than fifty percent of its boundary surrounded by the sea and waterways.
The environmental efforts paid off: healthy coral habitats were preserved alongside the residential development, and DCA received the bonus of the inaugural NParks Leaf Award for its initiative in corals cultivation. The development also attained BCA Universal Design Mark Gold Plus for design and BCA Green Mark Gold Plus in sustainability.
