The Coast guard building in Matanzas, is a singular, iconic, and expressive design. Is located and isolated on a projection of the coast in the Bay of Matanzas.
The building own a lonely beauty, with a nice organization of the window openings and gargoyles, with its robust architecture and quiet. The tower makes a point of reference and control vessels entering and leaving the port. The white color of the building serves to accentuate his silhouette over blue sea background of the Bay.
Its design includes two volumes, the horizontal which houses offices, rooms and other facilities and small vertical tower, lookout point and signals, both are integrated by its curved shape and continuity, which expresses its function with a simple language.
