A ramen restaurant serves one humble ingredient (the ramen noodle) that can be combined with an almost infinite number of secondary elements to make a series of very special dishes. The architecture of the space works similarly: One basic element (plywood) is configured in many different architectural ways to create a dynamic spatial and material composition. The lighting design approach works within this same language. One simple lighting component (the exposed A lamp bulb with a screw-in base) is integrated into a series of unique details to create a diverse pallet and texture of lighting.
