Preserving the simple geometry of the previously existing volume as valuable. Wrapping it in white stone. Reducing it to its essence, enhancing its austerity. Enclosing it within the entrance modules, only the horizontality of a window, which is a line, a white volume, a rhythm, as an invitation to come inside.
Entering, generating a path that leads to the discovery, wide open, of the sea. Close to the moored boats, the building – with its privacy protected by the pre-existing construction – becomes entirely transparent on the south-facing façades, formed by large glazed panels.
Thus, the sea is always present in the leisure areas and shared relaxation zones, the restaurant and cafeteria, with no visual obstacles between the interior and the exterior. There can be a constant coming and going between the boat slips and the spaces for socialisation and waiting areas, set atop two subtle concrete platforms which, when illuminated, make these glass spaces seem to float. One more resource for blending into an environment that is the waiting area for being on the water.
