This residence exemplifies a contemporary approach to modular architecture, combining Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) with a precision-engineered timber frame to achieve both efficiency and architectural clarity. The building is composed of simple, gabled volumes arranged to define a sheltered outdoor terrace, reinforcing a strong relationship between interior living spaces and the surrounding landscape.
Prefabricated SIP modules ensure high thermal performance, airtightness, and rapid on-site assembly, while the timber structure provides flexibility, warmth, and long-term durability. The exterior is clad in natural wood shingles that weather gracefully over time, allowing the house to blend seamlessly into its rural setting. Large sliding glass openings dissolve the boundary between inside and outside, maximizing daylight and framing views while enhancing passive environmental performance.
This project demonstrates how modular construction can support high-quality, design-driven architecture—delivering sustainability, speed of construction, and refined spatial experiences without compromise.
