Located on a slope adjacent to the north gate of the main campus, the university Guest House sits quietly in the midst of the pinewoods, camouflaged as a simple floating box with random openings, folded surfaces and a teak façade.
Visitors enter from underneath the wooden box to encounter a tranquil courtyard carved out from the cube. The courtyard is white in color, with a square pond in the middle and bamboo landscape surrounding its edges. It reflects the sky and transmits serenity into this natural setting.
In the guestrooms, strong colors are applied on the ceiling, walls and floors for the private quarters. Personal-scaled windows that are placed strategically for guests to view the pinewoods, either vertical or horizontal, connect the guests to the natural scenery outside.
