The development represents a strong commitment to breathe new life into the local community. In place of a long since derelict church, the scheme’s 6 town houses and 4 apartments help repair the northern edge of the community focal point - Upper Norwood Recreation Ground. The architectural concept sensitively draws on the site’s ecclesiastical heritage, whilst also borrowing from the Georgian Town House tradition - which provides an agreeable strategy for the densification of land use - offering an alternative to the unviable low density semi-detached housing typologies of previous decades. Architectural treatment includes piano noble and second floor loggia providing wonderful elevated views over the green landscape to the south.
