This manned fire station building contains a four bay apparatus room, dorm, offices, exercise room, library,restrooms and kitchen/day room for the station staff. Additionally a hose tower with various training props were included in the design. The mechanical system incorporates an in-the-floor heating system with photo voltaic solar as the primary electrical energy source. South facing windows with sun screens were used to provide passive solar energy and day lighting to minimize electrical demand.
