Nestled in the heart of the mountains of Madrid, Casa Sierra redefines the concept of the single-family home through an industrialized proposal that brings together design, sustainability, and construction efficiency. With a total area of 124 m², this model—known as U Plus—stands as an example of how modular architecture can engage in dialogue with the landscape without sacrificing sophistication or comfort. Developed by ROOM2030, the project reflects a new way of understanding residential architecture.
The home has been conceived using an industrialized construction system that enables full off-site manufacturing in just 12 weeks, ensuring rigorous control over quality, finishes, and energy performance. Thanks to its modular design and optimized logistics, installation on site can be completed in a single day, significantly reducing construction timelines and minimizing environmental impact. This approach also results in a substantial reduction in waste and emissions, in line with the principles of circularity and sustainability. Beyond shortening delivery times, the process guarantees a precise execution with virtually no disruption to the natural surroundings.
Casa Sierra is distinguished by an architectural envelope that combines three carefully selected materials: large-format porcelain cladding, which provides elegance, high durability, and low maintenance; thermally treated wood, enhanced to resist moisture and UV exposure, adding warmth and texture; and micro-perforated steel profiles, used as solar shading and privacy elements, introducing a refined, contemporary industrial aesthetic. This material palette responds not only to technical criteria but also establishes a visual dialogue with the rocky and forested landscape of the Sierra.
The U Plus model is organized over two levels, with a layout designed to maximize natural light and strengthen the connection to the outdoors. The ground floor accommodates the daytime living area, comprising an open-plan living and dining space, integrated kitchen, and two en-suite bedrooms, all with direct access to the garden and swimming pool through the central patio. The upper floor includes a study-bedroom and the main suite, which enjoys panoramic views of the Sierra de Madrid. The composition is completed by an outdoor swimming pool integrated into the landscape design, directly connected to the patio—the central axis of the home—and conceived for year-round enjoyment of the surroundings.
The project has been developed in collaboration with strategic partners who contribute innovation and quality in every detail: Finsa, specialists in engineered wood solutions and interior finishes; Ecus, a benchmark in sleep systems and ergonomic furniture; and Normagrup, experts in technical lighting and intelligent control systems.
The supplier value chain within the ROOM2030 ecosystem provides all materials, ensuring that every component of the home meets the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
Casa Sierra is not merely a house; it is a statement of principles—a way of inhabiting the landscape with respect, efficiency, and beauty. It is designed for those who seek a life connected to nature without renouncing the performance and comforts of contemporary architecture.
