Casa Libertad
Back in 2018, we brought Casa Libertad to life, nestled in the lush forests and boasting a magnificent ocean view on the hills of Nosara. Designed for a young, adventurous couple and their four children, this project embodies our eco-friendly concepts and deep connection with nature.
One of the unique challenges was creating a home without glass. Instead, we implemented swing louver system windows to control ventilation and light, often leaving them completely open. Actually The living room is completely open with no doors at all, converting the space to a feeling of being on a terrace open to the jungle. The design seamlessly integrates with the topography, featuring an open concept floor plan that connects the social area, terrace, and pool, all with natural cross-ventilation and no air conditioning.
The construction primarily used masonry walls with wood elements and a strong accent of local stone, enhancing the natural aesthetic. Lush gardens create a harmonious indoor-outdoor connection. The young children share a spacious common bedroom with bunk beds, opening to the terrace and pool, alongside a common room for homeschooling. The property is surrounded by vibrant gardens and abundant fruit trees, with room for future extensions as the family grows.
