Casa Jungla: Contemporary Tropical Refuge
This single-story home with tropical hues presents a perfect fusion of architectural design and connection with nature. With a layout that favors openness, cross-ventilation, and outdoor living, the house is conceived as a sanctuary that invites contemplation and relaxation.
Design and Functional Layout
The residence features two distinct bedrooms, designed to maximize privacy without disrupting the flow of the space. Each bedroom has direct access to the outdoors through sliding glass doors that open onto private terraces with views of the surrounding vegetation.
The central core of the house is a clean, contemporary open kitchen that blends seamlessly with the social area. This space—which merges the living and dining rooms under a single, double-height ceiling—is the heart of the home, designed to facilitate family interaction and connection with the landscape.
Spacious Terraces: A Seamless Transition Between Interior and Exterior
One of the project's most notable features is its expansive terraces, which wrap around the house on several sides. Conceived as natural extensions of the interior space, these platforms allow for multiple uses: from morning breakfasts surrounded by birdsong to evening gatherings under the soft tropical light. The use of lightweight pergolas and tropical wood lattices filters the sunlight, providing moving shadows that enrich the sensory experience.
Color Palette: Softness and Harmony
The aesthetic proposal is based on a carefully selected pastel color palette to blend in with the vegetation without competing with it. Shades such as sage green, pale coral, off-white, and grayish blue dominate the walls and finishes, generating a sense of freshness and serenity. These colors are complemented by natural wood elements, light volcanic stone, and linen textiles, providing texture without overwhelming the space.
