Set on the Cantabrian coast in Somo, this single-family house is conceived as a calm, precise composition organized across two clear levels. The ground floor concentrates daily life in a single continuous living space—living, dining and kitchen—prioritizing fluid circulation and avoiding unnecessary partitions. Large sliding windows dissolve the boundary between inside and outside, extending the main living area toward the porch, garden and pool so that outdoor space becomes an additional room in warmer months while maintaining a strong visual connection year-round. Functionality and long-term adaptability were key drivers. Two bedrooms on the ground floor allow the home to be fully lived on one level when needed, while a compact core groups services, storage and installations to keep circulation short and efficient and to free the main façades for light and views. The upper floor is reserved for privacy, with two additional bedrooms—including the main suite—along with a small sitting area and direct access to a terrace that works as an independent retreat for reading, working or resting with open views. Throughout, the project aims for order and restraint: clean volumes, measured proportions and an architecture designed to inhabit the landscape every day.
