Single Family House in Mira-sol, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona.
It is an isolated detached house in Sant Cugat, on a corner plot between two streets. The project plays with the thickness of the façade and the interior cabinets to incorporate sills with a lot of depth towards the interior of the house. This provides the safety of the rails but avoid its obstacle and visual impact. Where there are no closets, the project locates the carpentry in the exterior plane of the façade, moving the sills to the interior and thus providing additional shelves for the rooms. The dimension of the project, allows working with large rooms that enjoy large openings, combined with large blind planes. The set maintains an optimum level of natural lighting inside. The roof also has skylights that provide overhead lighting and natural ventilation. The inside shows materials without transition profiles, with fully flush-mounted furniture and with a limited number of materials and soft colors that bring calm and serenity to the whole. On façades polished work polished in the edges makes the skin to fold in different directions without losing linearity at the intersection of the planes.
