Headquarters Česká spořitelna
A NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD FOR PRAGUE
Located north of the river Vltava, a new district with residential and office spaces named "Smíchov South” is being built on a former site of the local railway station.
Recently, Baumschlager Eberle Architects signed an agreement with Czech developer Sekyra Group for the general planning of Česká spořitelna bank headquarters as well as the master planning of the entire "Smíchov South" project. Specifically, our office in Lustenau will carry out the assignment together with our partner in Prague, Pavel Hnilička.
The future headquarters of this subsidiary bank of the Austrian ERSTE Group will comprise 4 buildings of a total of 75,000 m² gross floor area above and 48,000 m² gross floor area below ground, forming the "Campus Česká spořitelna". Together with other office buildings and a hotel, an urban connection will be established between the railway station and the centre of Prague-Smíchov. Here, urban planning is based on the traditional European city – perfected by means of optimum integration into the difficult terrain.
