Burn Gym is a state of the art gymnasium in Mohali, India. This project is the brainchild of Ar. Daanish Singh of TBC Architecture. The gym has an area of 12,000 square feet and is designed in two floor levels.
A 20 feet enclosed canopy followed by a staircase marks the entrance to the basement level. The wall to the basement was broken down and an entry was planned directly from the front of the existing structure.
The reception which was originally only 8.5 feet in height was given a mesmerizing infinity lights ceiling to enhance the space virtually and give an illusion of endless height. Multiple mirrors are installed on the walls and even the counter fronts to increase the spacial experience.
The gym floor houses a green room with immense plantation and a skylight. The skylight was created by structural alterations to provide enough sunlight the basement.
The studio is made of angled mirrors and a web of color changing profile lighting on the ceiling.
The two way artwork and the backlit posters leave the onlookers in wonder.
The cardio space on the ground level has a ceiling consisting of 154 symmetrically alligned pendant lights and a 3 sided view of the surrounding greenery through multiple full height windows.
What was originally a stranded basement of a sports complex has now been transformed into this mega workout space.
