The pedestrian walkway on
the Bridgeworks Terrace is used as a public plaza, a casual gathering place for hotel guests, a site for small receptions
and venue for large private banquets. Luce et Studio designed a movable landscape to accommodate the hotel's need for versatility. Eight stainless steel rolling planter carts and their contents can be arranged in different configurations depending on the day, event or season.
Illuminated moveable cocktail tables and a large dining table are the
focus for casual gathering in the plaza. Comfortable seating can be
rearranged at a moment's notice to complement any arrangement of parts. The multiple uses of the space can be accommodated by the flexibility of landscape elements.
Adjoining to the terrace is the hotel's pool. Luce et Studio and James Schmidt Architect worked together to enlarge the pool deck to make it a place to "be" rather than just a place to get wet. A slightly
elevated teak deck with a view to the South is a wonderful place to sunbathe adjacent to the hotel's private pool.
