On a low-lying site between Cape Cod Bay and a wooded bluff, this waterfront home separates living space into two connected volumes: a main house and a guest wing, joined by a glass-enclosed bridge over the pool. The bridge lets the guest quarters go unheated in winter while keeping the whole compound feeling like one loft-like structure.
A sunken courtyard pool sits at the site's lowest point, shielded from coastal wind and framed by the surrounding dune landscape. Flat rooflines and broad window walls give the house a modern silhouette, while weathered cedar shingles tie it back to its Cape Cod setting.
