The Brainerd Public School District recently passed the largest school facility bond referendum in Minnesota, outside of the Metro area. Under the program management of ICS Consulting, JLG Architects joined a team of multiple design professionals as the K12 education-expert architecture firm for this $200 million multiple-facility undertaking. Working to ensure that the Brainerd School District’s goals for Next-Century Educational learning environments was consistent throughout the 13 facilities that were scheduled for improvements or new construction; JLG Architects established the schematic design direction for the projects based on the pre-referendum scope and budgets that had been established. Many of these conceptual k12 school project designs were turned over to the teaming firms of WSN and Wold to be completed with JLG continuing in an educational planning — advising role. JLG Architects is carrying the full design of Harrison Elementary, Lowell Elementary, and Riverside Elementary to completion for the Brainerd School District
