Constructores Maestros was commissioned by Boxpool Customs Agency to create its headquarters in Lima, Peru. They decided to exploit the visual richness and distinctive elements of the customs business in their design.
The proposal was based on taking these benchmarks and intervene them, scale them, and alter them so that the visitor is transported immediately to our world and imprints a mark in her memory.
The goals were to achieve a flexible, fluid, and transparent space, easy communication between all areas, and to make the space recognizable.
To achieve these goals, we decided to leave the exposed roof, with all its facilities, providing the space an industrial nature and in the process combining it with surfaces of glass, wood, and steel fittings for walls and furniture. We take as a central element in our design a 20-foot shipping container and intervene to accommodate a file space and accounting office. This element became the hallmark of all our proposals.
