The house is situated on an old industrial site that
neighbors a cemetery North of London, England.
The clients are two artist that require living quarters
and large studio work space. The house integrates
the studio and living space in a balanced way so
the one does not overwhelm the other. The second
floor contains a roof garden and an apartment.
The apartment is designed to be separate from the
main living quarters but can be joined with the rest
of the house for future needs. The house focuses
its views towards the heavily wooded cemetery.
The views to the cemetery are unobstructed with
large floor to ceiling height windows. The house is
clad in a dark finished rough wood plank and the
structure is made from a dark grey concrete.
