Block House – Interior Project
The interior of Block House is conceived as a calm and material-driven living environment embedded within the sloping landscape of Šárecké Valley in Prague.
Designed as part of a three-level villa composed of subtly rotated volumes, the interior reflects the architectural logic of the building: clean geometry, precise detailing, and strong visual connections to the surrounding terrain. Large glazed facades create a continuous dialogue between interior and landscape, allowing daylight and long views toward the valley to shape the spatial atmosphere throughout the day.
The spatial organization follows a vertical zoning strategy. The lower level integrates the entrance, garage, technical areas and a private spa zone. The middle level functions as the main living floor, where the kitchen, dining area and living room open to two opposing glazed façades - forming a “double-view corridor” that captures both the private garden and the distant valley landscape. The upper level serves as a quiet retreat, housing bedrooms with direct access to a roof terrace.
Materiality plays a central role in defining the interior character. Natural wood flooring, stone surfaces, ceramic finishes and carefully selected design elements create a timeless and refined atmosphere. Furnishings and fixtures by brands such as Antonio Lupi, Rimadesio, Poliform, Minotti and Henge contribute to the cohesive aesthetic language of the space.
Rather than imposing itself, the interior is designed to support everyday life through clarity, proportion and light. The project emphasizes long-term durability, spatial fluidity and a strong connection between architecture and nature.
