Concept
BITPARK is a unique architectural pavilion designed to help cities re-connect with urban blue spaces via a modulated floor on the water.
BitPark is a merger of physical tangible space with the concepts and realities of technology. The project’s slogan ‘’Craft your space’’ is taken directly from Minecraft a popular computer game which falls under the Sandbox genre- where players create worlds according to their imaginations, in much the same way a child does when playing in a sandbox. The name BitPark is meant to represent this merger of digital and physical. ''Bit'' references the computational. A bit in the blockchain, for example. A bit also represents simply a small part which makes up a larger whole. ''Park'' on the other hand is very physical. It has to do with recreation and leisure. It is an ideal natural environment, shaped to the preferences of a city and its residents…
