Belgrade Mediatheque

Firm
The thesis site and program were consequence of my interest in the relation between contemporary architecture and urban heritage. The chosen site is an empty lot in the very center of Belgrade, surrounded by protected heritage building, adjecent to the city’s main pedestrian street. Programaticaly, the Mediatheque connects to the City’s Main Library in the same block. Architecturaly, the solution offers a new public square in the dense urban core, leaving the Mediatheque building to fill in the rest of the block’s void.
