Our installation for the Architectural League of NY's Beaux Arts Ball brought climate responsibility and circularity to the forefront of the event. Colorful netting that defined the dance floor was sourced from Net Your Problem in Massachusetts, which collects used fishing nets, and the undulating, hanging rockweed was sourced locally from Lobster Place. We rigged the work to the existing structure of Building 269 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, an exquisite remnant of its time, highlighting its vast height and depth. As intended, the installation generated zero waste.
