The BCG Chicago Office is a 225,000-square-foot workplace transformation spanning nine floors in the Fulton Market District, redefining the contemporary office through connectivity, wellness, and adaptability. Designed as an interconnected vertical campus, the project brings people together through a bold spatial strategy that prioritizes collaboration, movement, and human experience.
At the heart of the interior is a dramatic nine-story interconnecting staircase that serves as both circulation and social infrastructure. More than a means of travel, the stair creates moments of encounter, visual connection, and spontaneous interaction, reinforcing a culture of openness and innovation. Its alternating three-floor configuration establishes a dynamic rhythm throughout the building, linking teams while preserving flexibility and programmatic clarity.
The workplace is organized as a layered ecosystem of focused workspaces, social hubs, and collaborative zones. Modular planning strategies, flexible furniture systems, and integrated technology allow the office to evolve alongside changing work patterns, ensuring long-term usability and efficiency. Material and finish selections draw from hospitality and biophilic design, incorporating natural textures, greenery, and warm tones that enhance comfort, well-being, and visual continuity across floors.
Abundant natural light, framed views of the city, and planted interior spaces reinforce a strong connection between occupants and the urban environment. Upper-level amenity spaces are oriented toward the skyline, while transparent ground-level zones create a sense of openness and civic presence within the Fulton Market neighborhood.
