Banh Cam’s house is located at Viet Nam’s countryside, Tay Ninh where the climate is quite hot. The project is a house of a photographer especially giving her parents and siblings as a thankful present. The plot is 7.5m wide x 30m deep which is the most typical land in urban fringe. Taking advantage of the land size, the design team has inspired to create a green space throughout the length of this project.
A low wall separates from the garage, bringing privacy to the family, while creating a surprise like entering into different green spaces for guests. The inside space requires clearness and flexibility with capability of hosting numerous guests when necessity. The living room and kitchen are located at the central house which is maximum the connectivity between generations.
The design criteria is to expansive viewing towards the garden. All the members feel the most out of the nature. To create the connectivity between the spaces, the openable corridor is parallel to the landscape.
The tropical climate aspect is crucially concern which lead to the occurrence of the deep and shallow awning in those sunny time, combined with bamboo curtain to prevent sunlight and rainy.
We offer the definition about the house without doors that the users don’ have to crouch inside the urban grid. The house always takes advantage of natural light and wind, this is also the way to help save costs for family.
Thanks to the capability of extended garden, the view is broadened and the people inside can fully enjoy the nature but is well protected from the climatic characteristic. Consequently, the family members can actually inhale the distinguishing atmosphere of the place
