Using strategies from agricultural planning, the project for the new development of Bab Atlas on the outskirts of Marrakech recreates the historic landscape of the famous
Palmeraie. Organized on the traces of
ancient underground aqueducts, the project uses the concept of a ‘’linear
landscape” to structure all the elements of the site plan. At the heart of the site lies the Village which consists of a series of open blocks amid a landscape of agricultural and recreational green spaces, hosting both residential and commercial elements.
