Baan Phraya celebrates the essence of Thai culture, where heritage, craftsmanship and authentic home-style cuisine come together within the historic setting of Mandarin Oriental Bangkok. Inspired by Thailand's first cooking school, the restaurant has been reimagined to provide an immersive dining experience that showcases Chef Pom's contemporary interpretation of traditional Thai cuisine.
The interior design draws inspiration from the elegant Vanda orchid and the cultural narratives of the Phraya Manhai Sawan manuscripts, weaving together the legacy of the historic Baan Phraya house with Thailand's rich culinary traditions. Carefully curated materials, refined detailing and a warm residential character honour the architectural heritage of one of Bangkok's last remaining traditional Thai houses, creating an atmosphere that evokes the elegance and hospitality of Siam's golden era.
