This villa is nestled within a verdant garden, situated in the highlands surrounding Tehran, where pristine nature extends into the distance. A portion of the land, near the garden's entrance, was pre-designated and prepared for the villa's construction, resulting in a level change within the terrain due to the interventions.
In this residence, we aimed to create flexible, diverse, transparent spaces without rigid boundaries, enabling users to experience novel spatial and lifestyle experiences. A form of habitation beyond what conventional and often uniform urban homes offer, a spatial perception aligned with the natural context of this house, somewhat more open, free, and dynamic.
Consequently, the required functions were categorized and positioned as adjacent spatial volumes, witch in this context the stair zone was a distinct element. An element that, beyond connecting various spaces, flows as a continuous and dynamic sculpture throughout the northern facade of the house, serving as a venue for a portion of life's flow. The landings extend from the interior to the serene exterior envelope, thus the staircase, by integrating into the house's core and activating a portion of its potential, regains its significance and asserts its presence.
While the first two floors maintain a flat profile, a horizontal and vertical break was introduced on the upper floor to create a separation between the bedroom and living areas, while maintaining visual communication and continuity between different spaces. Expansive terraces, integrated with the upper floor levels, provide residents with views of the surrounding landscape. Ultimately, a house with a serene and simple exterior and a more dynamic and complex interior was realized.
