Application
Located prominently in the heart of Las Vegas’ CityCenter development, the 61-story ARIA Resort & Casino is the complex’s main feature, exuding architectural magnificence and luxury inside and out. The resort contains over 4,000 guest rooms, 16 restaurants, and countless other top-of-the-line amenities that only a Las Vegas destination could produce. With a project this big and this breathtaking, every single building element needed to be highly refined and unquestionably forward thinking. An architectural mesh system from Cambridge was chosen for ARIA’s convention center exterior facade because it provided that very type of building element.
The Cambridge facade stainless steel metal fabric system created for the ARIA Resort & Casino convention center elegantly undulates along the exterior facade adjacent to Frank Sinatra Boulevard, creating a brilliant S-shaped metal surface and an eye-catching veil for the structure.
Function
The architectural mesh facade specified for the ARIA Resort & Casino provides a striking building exterior without obstructing views or impeding airflow to the structure. The open-yet-closed nature of the metal fabric pattern allows it to effectively cover and strongly protect building walls, while appearing delicate and free flowing. The final result is a reliable and dynamic exterior cladding.
Benefit
Cambridge applications always combine superior aesthetics with high-quality performance, eliminating the need for additional materials. Additionally, Cambridge’s metal fabric panels were specifically engineered to fit the structure’s open areas, ensuring a successful and issue-free installation.
The ARIA Resort & Casino is a LEED® Gold Certified building. Cambridge’s stainless steel mesh facade system contributes to this distinction by holding up very well in the natural environment and, as a result, maintaining its pristine look for many years to come. Many of Cambridge Architectural's mesh solutions can contribute to meeting LEED® requirements, specifically in the NC (New Construction) category. Cambridge Architectural is an active member of the USGBC®.
