In May 2023, Arena Triangeln opened, Vasakronan's coworking concept and the first arena to open in Malmö. In a central location in the city, there is now 1500 square meters of coworking space with about 100 flexible workplaces and several offices and meeting rooms.

A clear brief from Vasakronan was that it should feel like Malmö and create interest for more than just those who stay in the premises. The arena is located in the Triangeln shopping center with proximity to the city's pulse as well as communications and trade.

Two of the Arena's three floors are former retail spaces facing the Triangle shopping center.

We based our interior design concept on the first site visit as everything was in concrete and we wanted to retain the feeling of the raw at the same time as we wanted to start from the place like the other arenas we have been involved in designing. The interior design concept also flirts with shop design and we have taken inspiration from old shop fronts in the design language.

The color palette is neutral with strong contrasts between white, black and everything in between. We wanted the art and plants to take a lot of focus and contrast with the space. The store concept is clearly visible in the specially designed glass sections, inspired by old shop premises. The design language of the vaults is reflected in the carpets, drapes and special carpentry.
