Launched in 1982, this aluminum trimaran with a transparent central shell 20 meters long and 8 meters large is designed to take from 12 to 18 people into the very heart of the ocean and allows continuous observation of the underwater fauna and flora. It is also a performant tool at the service of the scientific research or filmmaking, opening the path towards a new conception of the underwater navigation. In 1985 Jacques Rougerie crossed the Atlantic on board of the Aquaspace from La Rochelle to Miami. The ship is still navigating today around the Netherlands Antilles. Polycarbonate central pod, bipod mast, engine 2x285 CV.
