About the Project
Our first project in Vietnam — a 300 m² apartment in Ho Chi Minh City — showcases Studia 54’s signature dark-toned aesthetic. Despite architectural challenges such as low ceilings and irregular layouts, the team transformed the space into a refined private gallery filled with art, light, and texture.
Concept
The client envisioned a home resembling an art exhibition, where each detail — from sculptural lighting to designer furniture — reflects individuality and sophistication. The result is a seamless blend of contemporary elegance, cultural references, and bold artistic expression.
Hall
The entrance hall sets the tone with its dramatic design: porcelain floors mimic a flowing river, while a copper-accented staircase and illuminated glass-fiber cube installation evoke the glowing lanterns of Hoi An. The walls feature dark suede and a rich fresco in red and terracotta hues.
Living Area
The open-plan living room unites lounge, dining, and kitchen spaces. A sculptural chandelier of 300 glass tubes creates a play of light and shadow. Designer furniture and artful shelving — finished in terracotta velour and gold accents — add warmth and texture.
Dining & Kitchen
The dining zone blends elegance and color harmony: light and emerald chairs connect visually to the deep-green kitchen. Brass details and marble surfaces enhance sophistication. A La Cornue stove — chosen for its Parisian charm — becomes the kitchen’s centerpiece.
Second Floor
The corridor continues the gallery theme with abstract art panels, sculptural furniture, and a custom mirror inspired by the Mekong River. Each element serves both a decorative and functional purpose.
Master Suite
The master bedroom features dark tones, woven metal textures, and soft leather details. Suspended pearl installations bring a poetic, glowing touch. The adjoining walk-in closet integrates tinted glass, leather finishes, and art lighting.
Bathrooms
The master bathroom pairs green marble with custom mirrors and a Patrizia Garganti chandelier. Guest bathrooms showcase bold contrasts — illuminated onyx sinks, crystal pendants, and luxurious velour curtains for a dramatic atmosphere.
Children’s Room
A bright contrast to the rest of the apartment, the child’s room combines green and orange tones, tactile fabrics, and creative lighting that visually expands the low ceiling.
Essence
This project redefines the concept of a dark interior — transforming it into a warm, emotionally rich, and art-filled home. Every space tells a story, proving that even architectural constraints can inspire extraordinary design.
