This apartment in Brasília was completely restored when the young couple decided to have their first baby and move in. At first, it was a two bedroom apartment, with only one bathroom. The challenge was to make another bathroom, and integrate living room and kitchen so that the space seemed wider. The integration among living room and kitchen was possible due to a hanging cabinet that opens to the kitchen and to the living room. The need for a metallic structure gave the idea to design a different cabinet, in which the structure is visible and painted in yellow, giving both the living room and the kitchen a special touch. The division between social area and intimate area is made by the wide wooden panel (that is also a double closet). The opening in the panel was strategically positioned so that it would be possible to see the yellow door of one of the bathrooms. The bathrooms have sinks that were sculpted in silestone, as well as a transversal window that allowed the second bathroom to have natural ventilation by entering the other.
