In the late 1990’s, Ismael Leyva Architects worked with SOM on a highly visible & corporate mixed-use project in New York called the AOL Time Warner Center. This project was built as a commercial development and was composed of five major uses:

The project gets its name from the corporate presence of AOL-Time Warner headquarters in the building. The building is seated at a very prominent corner of Central Park and embraces the famous Columbus Circle. It stands about 750 feet in height and marks the culmination of the 59th street axis on the Manhattan Grid. The office and residential floor plates have sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline and the sprawling Central Park. The building boasts of some of the largest floor plates in the neighborhood. The office floor plates are approximately 36,000sft and the residential plates are about 12,000sft in size. With a total of about 2.1 million square feet, it is one of the largest Mixed-Use Projects in New York.
