The project site is adjacent to the East Kolkata Wetlands and a short distance from Sundarbans National Park, a hub to one of the worlds largest tropical biospheres.
Taking inspiration from the materials and wildlife found within the Ramsar listed wetlands, Anahita Resort and Spa creates an ecologically conscious foundation, which celebrates indigenous unique flora and fauna.
The Eco Retreat sustainability design parameters are based on IGBC gold accreditation requirements. To achieve this, locally sourced materials are used throughout the development with strong references to the Wetlands. Flora specific to the area is planted and grown on site,
To complement this serene natural set up, the master plan concept is inspired by the Brahman’s principles “Layout with a silent center “’
The resort and spa are planned around a body of water that act as a focal point for the retreat and also create a home for the local wildlife to grow and thrive.
