Urban Design Group served as owner’s representative and project manager for Duke Realty on the Amazon Sort Facility at Chesapeake Commerce Center’s Area “C,” guiding the 1,018,000 SF project through complex entitlements, approvals, and permitting processes. Acting as the local expert, the firm coordinated a dynamic project team, establishing structured management, clear communication, and critical path oversight to navigate land use, environmental, and design challenges. Through strategic guidance and persistent advocacy, Urban Design Group expedited approvals and ensured compliance with all regulatory requirements, enabling successful project delivery. The completed facility now functions as a major regional hub, generating thousands of jobs and strengthening the logistics and economic infrastructure of the Baltimore area.
