The first block to be developed as part of the Scarborough Town Centre Master Plan, Alta will deliver three purpose-built rental towers rising 32, 41, and 50 storeys atop a shared seven-storey podium, offering 1,285 units, over 20% of which will be affordable.
With a strong emphasis on family-sized suites, many units will feature direct access to indoor and outdoor amenity spaces. The project integrates a mix of at-grade townhouses, ~16,000 square feet of retail and a series of publicly accessible open spaces, including a public park and privately-owned, publicly-accessible areas, rooftop and ground-level amenities that support a wide range of community uses and age groups. A public art program will animate the public realm and celebrate local culture. Alta is a major step toward transforming the area into a vibrant, mixed-use urban district.
