living in contemporary Tehran is a complicated concept revealing itself in content, function, and form. Formal complexities and their typological reduction have placed us vis-a-vis a city lost between contextual isoforms and formal polyforms. The most important approach in HashtKhaneh! designing venture is the regeneration of the "house" species from the "apartment" isoform. For this to happen, the project has been reviewed and redesigned on three different levels: methodological, design strategy, and designing techniques. In design methodology, and in technique, typological regeneration in strategy, interconvertibility of concepts and forms, and super- neoclassical imposition - with recourse to such minor techniques as Chamfer, 'tiling' , etc. respectively have been considered. HashtKhaneh! is s project in and for the city, not of the city for the inhabitants of Absurdom
